Stewards of God’s Creation
Good morning my God, Faith , Grace, and dachshund family, I trust that everyone has had a super Saturday so far. What a great time to be alive, despite how things look we have more opportunities to change the world. If you watch the news things look hopeless. Earthquakes, wars, it’s hard to distinguish one season from the next. The world appears to be in a state of chaos.
The bible records the earth being in this state several times. Genesis 1:1-2 (TLB) 1 When God began creating the heavens and the earth, 2 the earth was a shapeless, chaotic mass, with the Spirit of God brooding over the dark vapors. Genesis 1:3-4 (KJV) 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
I loved Faith and I love Grace, I posted some pictures of the ramp that I was building for Grace, because I don’t want her to injury her back jumping on and off the bed. When I got to the point that the ramp was almost complete, I stood back looked at and said to myself that looks good. When I started it was just a pile of wood and screws, it was chaotic. The materials was there to make the ramp , but I had to make it, I had to put my plan into action and make what I saw in my mind.
God did the something in Genesis, He saw the chaotic mess that the world was and knew He had to put things back in order. Some of you might ask why, the simple answer is because He loved us. God love us so much that He took the time to repurpose a disordered world and make it in habitual for man to live in without worry or fear, and placed him in the garden. Genesis 2:8 (KJV) 8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. When Grace ramp is finished I will put it beside the bed and teach her how to go safely up and down to keep her safe. She doesn’t owe me anything, but to use the tool that I made for her.
God created the earth and everything on it for our good and everything was good, but because we have abused the earth, which is to say ab used or abnormal use for the purpose it was intended for, we are at a place in time that the earth is in chaos. I can imagine God looking down and saying “this is not why I created earth”. When you don’t understand the purpose of a thing you will abuse or abnormally use it for something else. Can you imagine me trying to cut a straight line using a hammer, or a screwdriver, another tool that was not made for cutting.
God gave Adam authority over his creation; He gave Adam the privilege to name all the animals and his wife. Adam traded the truth for a lie and transgressed. Adam knew not to eat of the tree, but he missed used his purpose and will. Genesis 2:20-22 (KJV)
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Genesis 3:20 (KJV) 20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. In conclusion so of you might be asking yourself what is Carl trying to say. Glad you enquired, when I looked down at the gift of Grace that God has given me, I don’t take Grace for granted. I try to do everything in my power to keep her safe, no matter how things look. God looked down at a earth that was without formed and void.
God decided to make it a home for mankind so He (God) could network with, but we have failed to take care of the things God has entrusted us with. As you watch the news from your community and around the world look at the abuse that we have caused to our home and to each other. My prayer is that we love each other more than ourselves, to fulfill our purpose as Christians and humans. If I did not love Grace, I would have never made the ramp, if God did not love us He would have never sent His son.
